“The housing market needs more help to supply, not help to buy” A Government plan to help boost the housing market has been branded “very dangerous”. The Institute of Directors say underwriting the mortgages of buyers’ risks artificially inflating housing prices. VoR’s Daniel Cinna reports. Other critics say that if interest rates rise –people who have taken on large mortgages may end up defaulting on payments and ultimately losing their homes.
